Install Due as an app
Due works in any browser, but you can also install it: it gets its own icon on your home screen, opens full screen without the browser bar, and sits among your apps like any other.
No app store and no heavy download: a few taps from the browser you already use. Pick your device.
iPhone and iPad
- Open Due in Safari and sign in to your account.
- Tap the Share button: the square with an arrow pointing up, at the bottom or next to the address.
- Scroll down the list and choose “Add to Home Screen”.
- Tap “Add”: the Due icon appears among your apps.
Since iOS 16.4 this also works from Chrome and Edge, through the same Share menu. The first time you open the app from its icon you'll be asked to sign in again: on iPhone the installed app doesn't share data with Safari.
Android
- Open Due in Chrome and sign in to your account.
- Tap the ⋮ menu in the top right corner.
- Choose “Install app” (on some phones it's called “Add to Home screen”).
- Confirm: Due appears on your home screen and in your app list.
In Samsung Internet, Firefox or Edge the option is in the browser menu, under a similar name. If you see “Install the app” in Due's side menu, just tap that.
Computer
- Open Due in Chrome or Edge and sign in to your account.
- On the right of the address bar, click the install icon (a screen with an arrow).
- Confirm with “Install”: Due opens in its own window and you'll find it among your programs.
If the icon doesn't show up, look for “Install” in the browser menu. On a Mac with Safari, use File → “Add to Dock”. Desktop Firefox doesn't install web apps: there, Due stays a browser tab.
What changes when you install it
Nothing you can see: it's the same Due, with the same account, the same channels and the same history. What changes is how you open it: one tap on the icon instead of hunting for the right tab, and the whole screen for the chat instead of half of it taken by the browser.
Updates arrive on their own, just like in the browser: there's nothing to update by hand. And if you change your mind, you remove it like any other app.
